A wealth of archaeological finds have been discovered in Breckland. Artefacts from as long ago as the Palaeolithic right up to three hundred years ago are regularly brought to our finds specialists. But how do they identify them? On this training day you can learn about the objects that are commonly found in the Brecks from our Portable Antiquities Scheme team, and what you should do if you find one. Our excellent flint knapper will be there to demonstrate how stone tools are made and what what clues you should look out for. You will also see all the finds from our excavation and field walking events, and have a go at processing them yourself. Tea and coffee will be provided.
