Student Link: Design Competition with West Suffolk College Launched

Yesterday (4th November) Nick met with students from West Suffolk College’s Level 3 Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment to launch an exciting design competition.

The students were asked to produce a design for the restoration of the Engine House at Brandon Country Park.  The main focus of this design is a new link building that will bring the two existing structures together.

"The competition gives the students a rare opportunity to engage in a ‘live’ project to practice their Heritage Construction design skills on."

(Nick Dickson, BNG Project Manager)

If the winning design is appropriate and meets BNG objectives in terms of budget and functionality, we hope to be able to include it in the final design of the Engine House.
